Poor People's Campaign
April 19 @ 3:37 pm EDT

Join the movement that is:
- Shifting the Narrative: as we take on the false and limited definition of poverty and the false narrative of Christian and religious nationalism
- Building Power: as we organize, mobilize, and build a transformational 21st century fusion movement with and among the poor and dispossessed across lines that have been used historically to divide us
- Impacting Policies and Increasing Civic and Voter Participation: as we force the political system to center the needs impacting hundreds of millions of people

During this training, participants will dig deep into the Poor People's Campaign as we gain tools and develop relationships we will need to build this movement for justice. Join together with other poor, directly impacted, and moral leaders in Iowa as we explore the fundamental principles, moral agenda, and current goals of the campaign; learn what a PPC Deep Canvass is, how it differs from conventional forms of canvassing, and why we do Deep Canvassing; discover how you and your community can get more involved; and, of course, sing the songs of the movement.

Refreshments will be provided. Poor People’s Campaign t-shirts will be available for sale ($20/shirt).

Won't be able to join us, but interested in hosting a training in your area or at a different time? Contact us via private message or email ([email protected]) to learn more about how to bring an Iowa PPC 101 training to your community.
