Poor People's Campaign
March 28 @ 12:04 pm EDT
Presented by Josh Rasnick from Progressive Maryland

The COVID-19 pandemic has made it painfully obvious the price that we are paying with our lives and our well-being when our government refuses to provide healthcare for all. 40% of deaths from COVID could have been prevented if the U.S. had responded like other wealthy nations.

Unlike other rich countries, we rely on an expensive, for-profit insurance scheme that leaves out millions of people instead of providing public health coverage designed for the common good – like Medicare for All (M4A). When 30 million people lack health coverage, no one’s health is safe.

But there’s good news! M4A was just reintroduced in the House with more supporters than in the past. Public opinion also supports the government providing healthcare coverage of all. Join us to learn more about M4A and how you can help win healthcare for all.

After the M4A Teach-In and Q&A, we will have subgroup break outs.
