The Texas Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival is hosting a nonpartisan Senate Town Hall on Friday, October 23 at 6:30pm CT / 5:30 MT. The town hall is focused on policies that affect the over 12.6 million poor and low-income residents of Texas, including systemic racism, poverty, voting rights, healthcare, poverty wages and more. Candidates that participate will answer questions from Texans who are impacted by such issues. Both Senate candidates were invited to participate in the nonpartisan event. MJ Hegar has agreed to participate and John Cornyn has not responded to repeated invitations.
