Constructing a Moral Narrative: Dismantling Christian Nationalism
Ever heard of Christian Nationalism?
Ever wonder what it means?
Ever wonder why it dominates religious conversation in our nation?

Join the California Poor People’s Campaign in a hybrid online and in-person event to discuss the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism with a focus on Christian Nationalism.

In the wake of the attacks on the Capitol on January 6 and the attempts of Christian Nationalists to silence the voices of the oppressed, the California Poor People's Campaign invites the community to participate in a moderated panel discussion addressing the distorted moral narrative of Christian Nationalism. We will be joined by our co-chairs Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II and Rev. Dr. Liz Theoharis for this important discussion.

Our goal is to hear from impacted persons and leaders from multiple faith traditions within the backdrop of the oldest church founded by African Americans in Los Angeles, First African Methodist Episcopal Church. Please join us as we begin our work to dismantle the distorted moral narrative of Christian Nationalism.
