Forget the soul sapping policy priorities of the Oklahoma Legislature because they amount to little more than welfare for the rich, immoral attacks on truth and justice, and continued climate crisis denialism. In contrast, the Oklahoma Poor People’s Campaign (OPPC) has published a set of legislative priorities for 2023 designed to fight poverty, racism, militarism, environment devastation and the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism. Let’s repair Oklahoma in its entirety and not be satisfied with the “Blah-Blah-Blah” that our legislature substitutes for making real moral and constitutional progress in Oklahoma.
