In 1968, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and many others called for a “revolution of values” in America to unite poor and impacted communities across the country. The Poor People's Campaign was born. The Poor People's Campaign continues this unfinished work today, calling for a reckoning with poverty and the interlocking injustices of systemic racism, the war economy, ecological devastation, and the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism.
