Statement from Rev. Dr. William J. Barber II, co-chair of the Poor People’s Campaign, on the vote count:
The votes have been cast, and they must be counted. We must let the process work. There is no such thing as a final count on Election Day or stopping the count after Election Day. There never has been in the American political system.
Do not listen to Trump trying to declare himself winner. He can declare himself anything he wants, but we will know who has won after all the votes are counted.
