Poor People's Campaign

Tue April 5 from 9-11 AM
MD PPC Annapolis Rally to pass important End to Poverty bills still not voted on by our Legislators.

We will be standing with our partners to highlight these bills and gather signatures on our End to Poverty Resolution Petition.

DEADLINE in the MGA: This is the last week of “real” hearings in the Maryland General Assembly.

DEADLINE CROSSOVERS: By March 21st, any bills that will advance (cross over to the other chamber) must have passed out of committee and received floor votes.

VOTING AHEAD: The next two weeks will be full of voting sessions, so the goal is to ensure that our priority bills get on the lists of bills voted on.

WHERE DO OUR SELECTED BILLS STAND?
None of these bills have been voted out of committed and passed on the floor of at least one chamber. If they are not voted on the floor and crossed over to the other chamber by March 21, the bills are dead.
