Poor People's Campaign
April 26 @ 4:27 pm EDT

The Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival demands an end to systemic poverty, an end to systemic racism, an end to the war economy and militarism, an end to ecological devastation, and an end to the distorted moral narrative of nationalism and blaming the poor and oppressed for their own poverty and oppression.

The Colorado Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival has come to believe that the most expedient way to achieve these goals is via sustained, strategic economic actions. Therefore, we are asking America, YOU, to do just one thing November 3, 2020 – VOTE! And we are asking YOU, America, to NOT do two things on November 3, 2020 – DON’T GO TO WORK and DO NOT SPEND NOT ONE THIN DIME!

Why Election Day? We know that neither the guy in the red suit nor the guy in the blue suit has the perils and challenges of poverty forefront in their minds. And no matter the outcome of the election, we must keep putting pressure on the system to get our demands met. We know that a return to the status quo means 750 people dying daily from poverty and half of the nation unable to withstand a $400. emergency. Election Day is the perfect time for everyday Americans to remind the elite and political classes that this land is in fact our land.
