Poor People's Campaign

On Saturday, June 18, 2022, we will join together for the Mass Poor People’s & Low-Wage Workers’ Assembly and Moral March on Washington and to the Polls. We are called to assemble and march in the nation’s capital as a moral fusion coalition in response to the pain caused to all of us when there are 140 million poor and low-wealth people in this nation. We are called to shift the moral narrative, put a face on the pain of our people, build power, and present before the nation a redemptive Third Reconstruction agenda.

Together, we must challenge the notion that this is the best we can do. Today, America has to guarantee living wages and adequate income, healthcare, affordable housing, quality public education, expanded voting rights and access to democracy, fair taxation, debt relief, just immigration, a climate where we can all thrive, and a world committed to peace rather than violence and war.

This call emerges from our deepest values – drawing on the Constitution and our faith traditions – all of which require us to confront injustice through sustained moral action. We invite you to join us because we can’t and won’t be silent anymore. Rather than being demoralized by the crises of our times, we must intensify and embolden our agitation at the ballot box, through the courts, and in the streets.

This will be a transformative mobilization as we connect our many efforts into a force more powerful than the sum of our parts. Mobilizing partners are organizations, campaigns, coalitions, denominations, unions (and more) that commit to organizing a delegation of their people to Washington D.C. on June 18, along with promotion and outreach between now and then.

You can click the button below to learn more and to sign-up as a mobilizing partner. Please only fill out this form if you have authority/permission to officially do so, on behalf of your organization. Upon submission, a member from our team will be in touch with your organization.
