Every day, 800 people die from poverty.

That’s more than homicide or diabetes! But do we hear the news covering poverty being the 4th leading cause of death?

Well, because of our nationally coordinated efforts March 2nd, we MADE them cover it. And we’re going back to the General Assembly on April 24th, when the legislative session starts, to make sure our message comes through loud and clear. In case it doesn’t, we’re following our lawmakers to D.C. on June 15th. All the while, we will be mobilizing the over 3.5 million poor and low income voters to make these demands with our votes.
