“How about a mother who allows her family to deteriorate, to have no food, to sleep in boxes and in subway stations? Their children would be removed from them immediately, so today we are here to say, we are removing you from the care of our citizens.” -Dr. Savina Martin, Massachusetts Poor People's Campaign

War causes more problems than solving anything so it makes no sense
Amen... Have never considered this slant on the state of things in America; it’s so true.
Thank you, Poor People's Campaign, as always.
The entire corrupt system needs to be dismantled.
We have several million Americans with $0 income today. If the US took a few years' break from the war business, none of the saved money would go toward meeting the needs of the nation.
The fact that there are 140 million poor and low-wealth people in a country this rich is morally indefensible, constitutionally inconsistent and economically insane. Join poor people and moral witnesses from across the country June 18, 2022 for the Mass Poor People’s Assembly and Moral March on Washington and To the Polls!

Middle classers say people are poor because they're somehow immoral. Millions are left jobless, with little or no incomes, in a country that crows about its wealth. Now, this would be considered immoral ONLY by every leading religion on Earth, but we're capitalists, so it's different.
Thanks for shining a light on poverty. One glaring example of our broken system is the way that Social Security is calculated. Though the money is a godsend to millions, the fact that those who are already poor are kept in poverty is indefensible. Living on under $500 a month in old age?😡..or when disabled!😡
Everybody be there!
TRICKLE DOWN KILLED YOUR PEOPLE.
